I joined Vigor’s environment team after Argo’s release in summer 2017. Thanks to my prior experience with Unreal Engine 4, I quickly adapted to the workflow. My focus was on level design, creating placeholders for new models, and collaborating with artists. We released six maps with the 1.0 launch, followed by additional free map updates.
In addition to level design, I took the initiative to advance level analytics. I established a pipeline using QGIS data, which later proved insufficient for a project of this scale. Consequently, the company hired a dedicated programmer for analytics, and I have been working closely with them to achieve the desired results. This collaboration enabled us to automate the process and generate necessary outputs directly within Unreal Engine 4.
Responsibilities

Level Design
Creation of design documents, placing 3D models in the world, terrain sculpting, iterating based on the received feedback.

Level Analytics
Vegetation scatter in Houdini, researching new ways how to make terrains.

Placeholders
Creation of placeholder models using Modo
Locations

Batterie Draug
I took responsibility for the map during the prototype phase and oversaw it through to the final release of Vigor. The map is inspired by the Adolfkanonen in Harstad.

Brodalen Bridges
I worked on the map from the very beginning in World Machine through to its final release, including optimization for consoles. It is one of the largest maps in Vigor.

Batterie: Snødekt
A snow variant of the previously released map, Batterie Draug. I began remaking the map in my spare time, and it gradually evolved into a version the team decided to release.

Anikken
My responsibilities included high-level terrain layout in World Machine, creating placeholders, terrain sculpting and painting, as well as object and vegetation placement.

Kjerstin
I worked on the map from initial concept to final stage for the Encounter game mode. My responsibilities included designing the high-level terrain layout in World Creator, creating a placeholder version of the dam, sculpting and painting the terrain, and placing objects and vegetation.
